Arosa Kulm, in the heart of Grisons, is a dream location for families and guests of all ages. Whether a fan of winter sports or alpine winter hiking, you will quickly find something that you love. Many guests return each year, seduced by the quality of the six restaurants, the marvellous interiors featuring vivid colours and the spacious rooms filled with light. The Arosa Kulm Hotel is a charming 5-star generation hotel in the middle of the Grisons mountains, where nothing is left to be desired.
Had the chance to be hosted for 1 night in 2020 and here my thoughts.
I was accommodated in a cozy suite, from where I enjoyed the wonderful view of the still snow-covered mountains of Arosa. But not only the view was terrific, but also our accommodation. The suite was more than spacious and offered me many amenities. In addition to the large living area, I found a dressing room and a separate toilet. A spacious bedroom with adjoining bathroom ensured a good night's sleep. The huge south-facing balcony was furnished with deckchairs and was another highlight. There I could relax and let the winter sun shine on my faces in the afternoon, completely relaxed and undisturbed.
As I was told, every room in the house is furnished differently and tells its own story, so to speak, which impressed me very much.
Room in the Arosa Kulm Hotel
The Arosa Kulm Hotel offers a fantastic and rich breakfast buffet, which is a great way to start the day. It is served in the '1882' restaurant, which is named after the year the hotel was founded.
If you want to have it completely individual, you can book Dine Around instead of the classic half-board. This gives you the opportunity to choose a different restaurant in the hotel every evening and indulge in culinary delights. I think this concept is really good and you shouldn't miss any of the 6 restaurants.
On the first evening I decided to reserve a table in the high alpine restaurant 'Muntanella'. The local gourmet cuisine spoiled me with modern and old specialties from Switzerland, which were interpreted in a new and absolutely delicious way.
I also had the chance to try he Far Eastern restaurant 'Ahaan Thai', which is a Thai palace in the middle of the mountains. There I let ourselves be enchanted by the delights and flavors that I can only recommend to all lovers of Thai food. I also found it exciting to learn that the Thai King Bhumibol Adulyadej learned to ski in Arosa in the 1930s and stayed at the Arosa Kulm Hotel.
Alpine spa at the Arosa Kulm Hotel
The beautiful pool in the Arosa Kulm Hotel is ideal for swimming. You can then relax in the sauna or steam bath. Wonderful relaxation is also offered by soothing massages, the sound and scent grotto or the tasteful Spa Lounge, which makes relaxation pure pleasure. In the relaxation room you have a unique view of the breathtaking mountain landscape, which helps you to relax and read a book.
I really enjoyed my stay Arosa Kulm Hotel and for sure I will come back! The hotel maintains the excellent level, for a perfect winter ski vacation and also as a fun active summer holiday in the Alps! There is a charm in this modern hotel that maintains an authentic Swiss atmosphere - a combination of exceptional service.
