More than 20 years ago at a small restaurant Located in Soi Phiphat 2, Convent Road, Eat Me has become one of the leading restaurants loved by both locals and expats.
I had the chance to enjoy a lovely evening there during my last trip to Bangkok and I want to share my thoughts with you.
Eat Me Bangkok offers international dishes made with the finest ingredients. but keeping it simple. The menu is divided into three zones, named by fish, vegetables and meat. The menu created by Chef Tim Butler is Usually it is based on western food. But there are ingredients and flavours of Asia to intervene.
Eat Me Bangkok have many awards, in both food and bar areas, the Michelin Plate has been awarded since the Michelin Guide opened in Thailand and one of the best restaurants in Asia on the Asia's 50 Best Restaurants list from 2013-2017.
Besides food the drink bar here is also very outstanding. Downstairs at Eat Me Bangkok, you will find the bar lined with a wide variety of alcoholic beverages. The good spirits bartenders will create various menus for us to taste. The drink segment is tribute to the Mixologist, Pop Boonthanate Direkritthikul, the 2018 Bartender of the Year award at the Bar Awards Bangkok. That's why the cocktails here It's not just a regular drink that goes with food. But it stands out on its own. And I am not surprised by the award.
I had the chance to try the Tamarind glazed quail & Crispy Skin Duck Confit with yellow beetroot, fennel and bnyuls gastrique and again it was a clear example of inventiveness, but deserved better executions.
There are a lot more sexy-sounding dishes on the menu I’d love to try, like the wagyu short rib and the Austalian salt bush lamb rack, but my stomachs was full and my live, pretty much complete. Eat Me is the kind of restaurant that you’ll return again and again for your favourites, but also come back for when you’re keen for something to shake up tastebuds.
Casual atmosphere at Eat Me Bangkok with style. 5-star service, premium quality food ingredients. Outstanding with a variety of ingredients used in the menu and blending out the flavors clearly, mellow, easy to understand, easy to eat. It is not difficult to satisfy people's tastes. Reservations are advised before every visit and due to the high demand.
In terms of pricing, at Eat Me Bangkok you will find an average per person of 60-100 euros. Alcoholic beverages are expensive as in the whole country.
