Daily Spark
Reads a rotating slice of my notes each morning and sends back a few grounded ideas.
Ideas grounded in your own notes beat ideas generated from nothing.
Every morning it reads a different slice of my notes, does a little research around it, and sends two or three ideas. Most are discardable. A few have turned into real projects, this website is one of them.
How it is built
The rotation is the whole trick. Reading everything every day produces the same ideas repeatedly; reading one domain a day produces unexpected collisions between things written months apart.
Replies are handled: liking an idea turns it into a task in the assistant AI agent, so a good one does not evaporate in a chat log.
What it got wrong
It fired twice in one day. The throttle checked a “last run” timestamp that was written at the end of a run. A run still in progress had not written one yet, so a second run started, read the same null value, and proceeded. Two AI agents then wrote to the same file with no locking.
The lesson
Timestamp your throttle at the start of the run, not the end. Obvious in hindsight, and it is the single most common bug across this entire fleet, four AI agents had some version of it.
