Le Méridien Saigon Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City, also known as Saigon, is an oasis of luxury and comfort in the bustling city. The location
Le Méridien Saigon is on Tôn Đức Thắng street, in District 1, close to the Saigon River. This is one of the most convenient areas to stay in Ho Chi Minh City: most of the main colonial-era landmarks, shopping streets and restaurants are within walking distance or a short ride away.
Note that Vietnam reorganised many of its local administrative units in 2025, so newer maps may show a different ward name for the same address. Searching for the hotel name works best.

Getting there
Tân Sơn Nhất International Airport is the main airport for Ho Chi Minh City. The drive to District 1 usually takes around 30 to 45 minutes, depending heavily on traffic. Grab, airport taxis and hotel transfers are all common options.
Ho Chi Minh City’s first metro line opened in late 2024, running from the Bến Thành area out to the eastern side of the city, with stations in the riverside part of District 1. It is a useful option for some trips, although most visitors still rely on Grab and taxis.
Tips for staying in Ho Chi Minh City
- Plan around the heat. Sightsee early in the morning and late in the afternoon, and use the hotel pool in the middle of the day.
- Use ride-hailing apps. Grab shows the price up front for cars and motorbike taxis.
- Cross streets slowly and steadily. Motorbike traffic flows around pedestrians who walk at a predictable pace.
- Carry some cash. Larger hotels and restaurants accept cards, but street food stalls and small shops often prefer Vietnamese đồng.
- Check visa rules before you travel, as entry requirements for Vietnam have changed several times in recent years.
