Queensyard is a modern British restaurant on the fourth floor of the shops at Hudson Yards in New York City, on Manhattan’s West Side. It opened in 2019, created by the British hospitality group D&D London, and its bright, open space has floor-to-ceiling windows looking straight out at The Vessel. It brings a touch of British flair to the dining scene in New York City.
Walking into Queensyard, you are greeted by a design that defies easy categorisation. It neither fits the mould of a traditional English home nor resembles an airport lounge. Instead, curvaceous chairs, upholstered booths and Thames River murals create an atmosphere of casual luxury that keeps people lingering for hours.
The restaurant covers nearly 12,000 square feet with three distinct zones: a luxurious dining room with panoramic windows, a more relaxed “kitchen” area for casual bites, and a coffee and wine bar.
Is Queensyard still open?
Yes, as far as I can tell. In October 2026 the official Queensyard website still lists the restaurant at 20 Hudson Yards, Level 4, with daily service and a Sunday roast, and the site now carries The Evolv Collection name. Queensyard menu: what I ordered
The dining room menu, when I visited, offered dishes for many tastes, such as Dover sole with roasted cauliflower purée, baked Lancaster chicken with natural jus and a Burgundy truffle risotto that could rival any Italian restaurant. The menu changes, so use the link below for the current version.
The first dish that caught my attention was the Brooklyn Burrata, and it did not disappoint. The creamy burrata paired perfectly with the sweetness of fresh cherries, and the sumac croutons added a delightful crunch. The cherry vinaigrette brought a burst of tangy goodness that balanced the dish beautifully. At 25 USD at the time, it was a very good appetiser for the flavours it offered.
For the main course, the Squid Ink Linguine was a true masterpiece. The jet-black linguine looked striking and tasted even better. Tender lobster chunks nestled in the pasta, and the leek cream sauce was a stroke of genius, giving the dish a velvety smoothness that left me wanting more. At 59 USD at the time, it was an indulgent dish, but it was worth it.
Queensyard reviews: is it worth it?
Overall, Queensyard impressed me with its inventive and well-crafted dishes. The combination of fresh ingredients and creative flavour pairings showed real talent in the kitchen. Prices are on the higher side, and my overall rating is three stars: four for the location, three for service, food and portions, and two for price. If the view of the Vessel and the Hudson Yards setting matter to you, it is a pleasant place for a long lunch or dinner. I would gladly return to try more of the menu.
