Vietnom Local Eatery is a modern Vietnamese restaurant on Mai Thúc Lân street in Da Nang, in the My An area between the Han River and My Khe Beach. During my time in Da Nang, I discovered it as one of the city’s most unusual places to eat: a spacious, inventive restaurant with an incredible variety of food for different diets and tastes, all under one roof.
What makes it even more special is the team behind it, the same people who run Bikini Bottom Express, a well-loved burger spot known for hiring and supporting deaf staff. That commitment to inclusion makes Vietnom not just a great restaurant but also a meaningful community space.

Where is Vietnom in Da Nang? Address and getting there
Address: 97 Mai Thúc Lân, Bắc Mỹ An, Ngũ Hành Sơn, Da Nang.
Mai Thúc Lân is on the east side of the Han River, in the area between the river and My Khe Beach that is popular with travellers and long-stay visitors, so there are plenty of cafés and hotels within walking distance.
- From the beach: My Khe Beach is a short ride or a longer walk away.
- From the city centre: cross the Han River, for example by the Dragon Bridge, and continue towards the beach.
- Getting around: Grab cars and motorbike taxis are the easiest way to move around Da Nang.
Best for: groups, solo travellers and food lovers who want variety.
Price range: mid-range, excellent value for the portion size.
